Fusion has developed a proprietary software for the processing and analysis of spectral decomposition of seismic data. SpecMAN™ is designed to decompose seismic traces using a range of algorithms including Fourier-based methods and wavelet transform methods. The software provides both absolute amplitude decomposition results without phase information as well as amplitude data with phase information at each frequency in the band pass of the data. SpecMAN™ allows the user to display and interrogate the resulting seismic volumes, and extract spectral attributes in both cross section and map views using mapped horizons. SpecMAN™ has a full input and output capability, and can be integrated with interpretation systems. It is currently available for Windows and LINUX operating systems.

SpecMAN™ displays showing the user menu, base map display and seismic display capabilities of the software.

SpecMAN™ performs spectral decomposition plus horizon-based analysis on spectral gathers that can provide critical information on spatial variations of attributes. The colors on the displays show the linkages between the frequency gather locations and the spectra.

SpecMAN™ performs a variety of spectral analysis including horizontal spectral gathers along specific horizons, and a variety of spectral displays along a line.

SpecMAN™ capabilities include spectral horizontal slice displays including peak amplitude (left) and peak frequency (right) attributes and map movies of all frequencies.
