SHOT

Fusion's 3-D Shot Profile Migration (SHOT) is a state-of-the-art implementation, designed to accurately and efficiently meet the most complex imaging challenges for marine, land, and OBC data. The program is capable of handling rapidly varying velocity contrasts, and imaging steep dips

SHOT runs efficiently in cluster environments, scaling to hundreds and thousands of cpus, and is capable of outputting prestack gathers for residual moveout correction and velocity analysis. With SHOT better images are obtained by implementing a superior imaging condition. The imaging condition can impact both amplitudes and migration artifacts: Illumination compensation is handled within the algorithm to assure proper amplitude imaging, and to enhance shadow zones in difficult areas such as subsalt imaging below rugose salt canopies. As an option, SPM can be run with and internal SRME, within the SPM algorithm, to output clean multiple-free images.
